Most kids parties have some kind theme, often related to a TV show, cartoon character or movie star that they love, or a classic style such as pirates or princesses (sometimes it's all three in one). In all the preparation for the party, there are undoubtedly a few things you might overlook, so here are some top tips to help make your child's birthday party a great success:
1) Fill the party bags the day before. You need to be sure you have enough of everything. If the main element is cake, then best to wait til the candles have been blown out. 2) Charge the battery in the camera. You don't want to take the first photo and see the battery light appear. You should also check that you have enough space on the memory card, or enough film. 3) If there are brothers and sisters of the party boy or girl, try to involve them in the organisation. It will give them a sense of purpose and prevent some of the jealousy that could start when all the attention is away from them. | |

These days birthday cakes are no longer just plain sponge, a bit of icing and some cheap candles on top. There's now a huge demand for more spectacular looking, tasting and themed birthday cakes. The best way to come up with ideas for your child's birthday party is the most obvious. Ask your kid. Find out what they liked at other kids' parties, what themes they might want, and how many friends they might want to invite. Although this may seem pretty obvious there are plenty of examples of parties going wrong because mum or dad 'assumed' they still liked Spider-Man when actually now Spider-Man is 'for younger kids in Amsterdam'. shows require a
deposit to reserve the date, and will often take a booking as short as as
a half hour - although you may pay a little above the standard hourly
rate. Make sure that you confirm the booking a few days before! Obviously if you need the birthday clown to do all the
activities they offer, you'll need more time.
Clowns are the best known party entertainment, but
there are other good kids birthday party ideas.
Party magic is always great fun. Kids party magicians are quite different from corporate entertainers, or magicians more comfortable around adults, so make sure you clarify the type of event as soon as you start the conversation!
Some party
magicians are also balloon artists, or comedians.
Anything is possible at a kids birthday party - these days even more grown up attractions such as ice scupltures and chocolate fountains are possible.
