Having organised many successful events, one thing you always need is great preparation, and just because it's a kids party, doesnt mean you wont overlook a few areas:
1) Find the matches or lighter. We've seen many parties lose momentum because mum or dad can't figure out how to light the candles on the birthday cake. 2) Charge the battery in the camera. You don't want to take the first photo and see the battery light appear. You should also check that you have enough space on the memory card, or enough film. 3) If there are brothers and sisters of the party boy or girl, try to involve them in the organisation. It will give them a sense of purpose and prevent some of the jealousy that could start when all the attention is away from them. | |

These days birthday cakes are no longer just plain sponge, a bit of icing and some cheap candles on top. There's now a huge demand for more spectacular looking, tasting and themed birthday cakes.
