1) Find the matches or lighter. We've seen many parties lose momentum because mum or dad can't figure out how to light the candles on the birthday cake. 2) Charge the battery in the camera. You don't want to take the first photo and see the battery light appear. You should also check that you have enough space on the memory card, or enough film. 3) If there are brothers and sisters of the party boy or girl, try to involve them in the organisation.
