Preparation is always key for any event - here are a few hints and tips that can set you on the path to success... that you may not have already thought about.
1) Put a notepad somewhere convenient so that you can write down the presents your child has received, and who they are from. 2) Charge the battery in the camera. You don't want to take the first photo and see the battery light appear. You should also check that you have enough space on the memory card, or enough film. 3) If there are brothers and sisters of the party boy or girl, try to involve them in the organisation. It will give them a sense of purpose and prevent some of the jealousy that could start when all the attention is away from them. | |

These days birthday cakes are no longer just plain sponge, a bit of icing and some cheap candles on top. There's now a huge demand for more spectacular looking, tasting and themed birthday cakes. It's hard not to love magic. It's just so... magical! If you contact a magician, make sure you check whether they perform at children's parties, because some only work at more corporate events and you don't want confusion on the special day.
Some party
magicians are also balloon artists, or comedians.
Sometimes the kids just need to get out of the house and run around, so maybe it's better to go to a park or even a theme park for the afternoon?
