Having organised many successful events, one thing you always need is great preparation, and just because it's a kids party, doesnt mean you wont overlook a few areas:
1) Fill the party bags the day before. You need to be sure you have enough of everything. If the main element is cake, then best to wait til the candles have been blown out. 2) Charge the battery in the camera. You don't want to take the first photo and see the battery light appear. You should also check that you have enough space on the memory card, or enough film. 3) Always make it very clear on the invitations the start and end time. And don't feel you need to make a full day of it. Many kids tire quickly, and if they're eating a lot of sugar they'll run around excited, and then collapse asleep if it goes on too long. | |
