Having organised many successful events, one thing you always need is great preparation, and just because it's a kids party, doesnt mean you wont overlook a few areas:
1) Put a notepad somewhere convenient so that you can write down the presents your child has received, and who they are from. 2) Charge the battery in the camera. You don't want to take the first photo and see the battery light appear. You should also check that you have enough space on the memory card, or enough film. 3) Always make it very clear on the invitations the start and end time.
